CVE-2017-9788 6 Apache, Apple, Debian and 3 more 18 Http Server, Mac Os X, Debian Linux and 15 more 2025-04-20 N/A
In Apache httpd before 2.2.34 and 2.4.x before 2.4.27, the value placeholder in [Proxy-]Authorization headers of type 'Digest' was not initialized or reset before or between successive key=value assignments by mod_auth_digest. Providing an initial key with no '=' assignment could reflect the stale value of uninitialized pool memory used by the prior request, leading to leakage of potentially confidential information, and a segfault in other cases resulting in denial of service.
CVE-2016-8610 7 Debian, Fujitsu, Netapp and 4 more 55 Debian Linux, M10-1, M10-1 Firmware and 52 more 2025-04-20 7.5 High
A denial of service flaw was found in OpenSSL 0.9.8, 1.0.1, 1.0.2 through 1.0.2h, and 1.1.0 in the way the TLS/SSL protocol defined processing of ALERT packets during a connection handshake. A remote attacker could use this flaw to make a TLS/SSL server consume an excessive amount of CPU and fail to accept connections from other clients.
CVE-2017-1000254 2 Haxx, Redhat 3 Libcurl, Jboss Core Services, Rhel Software Collections 2025-04-20 N/A
libcurl may read outside of a heap allocated buffer when doing FTP. When libcurl connects to an FTP server and successfully logs in (anonymous or not), it asks the server for the current directory with the `PWD` command. The server then responds with a 257 response containing the path, inside double quotes. The returned path name is then kept by libcurl for subsequent uses. Due to a flaw in the string parser for this directory name, a directory name passed like this but without a closing double quote would lead to libcurl not adding a trailing NUL byte to the buffer holding the name. When libcurl would then later access the string, it could read beyond the allocated heap buffer and crash or wrongly access data beyond the buffer, thinking it was part of the path. A malicious server could abuse this fact and effectively prevent libcurl-based clients to work with it - the PWD command is always issued on new FTP connections and the mistake has a high chance of causing a segfault. The simple fact that this has issue remained undiscovered for this long could suggest that malformed PWD responses are rare in benign servers. We are not aware of any exploit of this flaw. This bug was introduced in commit [415d2e7cb7](https://github.com/curl/curl/commit/415d2e7cb7), March 2005. In libcurl version 7.56.0, the parser always zero terminates the string but also rejects it if not terminated properly with a final double quote.
CVE-2017-7679 2 Apache, Redhat 5 Http Server, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Core Services and 2 more 2025-04-20 N/A
In Apache httpd 2.2.x before 2.2.33 and 2.4.x before 2.4.26, mod_mime can read one byte past the end of a buffer when sending a malicious Content-Type response header.
CVE-2016-2161 2 Apache, Redhat 4 Http Server, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Core Services and 1 more 2025-04-20 N/A
In Apache HTTP Server versions 2.4.0 to 2.4.23, malicious input to mod_auth_digest can cause the server to crash, and each instance continues to crash even for subsequently valid requests.
CVE-2017-7244 2 Pcre, Redhat 2 Pcre, Jboss Core Services 2025-04-20 N/A
The _pcre32_xclass function in pcre_xclass.c in libpcre1 in PCRE 8.40 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (invalid memory read) via a crafted file.
CVE-2016-6808 2 Apache, Redhat 2 Tomcat Jk Connector, Jboss Core Services 2025-04-20 N/A
Buffer overflow in Apache Tomcat Connectors (mod_jk) before 1.2.42.
CVE-2017-9050 2 Redhat, Xmlsoft 2 Jboss Core Services, Libxml2 2025-04-20 N/A
libxml2 20904-GITv2.9.4-16-g0741801 is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer over-read in the xmlDictAddString function in dict.c. This vulnerability causes programs that use libxml2, such as PHP, to crash. This vulnerability exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2016-1839.
CVE-2017-6004 2 Pcre, Redhat 2 Pcre, Jboss Core Services 2025-04-20 N/A
The compile_bracket_matchingpath function in pcre_jit_compile.c in PCRE through 8.x before revision 1680 (e.g., the PHP 7.1.1 bundled version) allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read and application crash) via a crafted regular expression.
CVE-2017-3736 2 Openssl, Redhat 5 Openssl, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Core Services and 2 more 2025-04-20 N/A
There is a carry propagating bug in the x86_64 Montgomery squaring procedure in OpenSSL before 1.0.2m and 1.1.0 before 1.1.0g. No EC algorithms are affected. Analysis suggests that attacks against RSA and DSA as a result of this defect would be very difficult to perform and are not believed likely. Attacks against DH are considered just feasible (although very difficult) because most of the work necessary to deduce information about a private key may be performed offline. The amount of resources required for such an attack would be very significant and likely only accessible to a limited number of attackers. An attacker would additionally need online access to an unpatched system using the target private key in a scenario with persistent DH parameters and a private key that is shared between multiple clients. This only affects processors that support the BMI1, BMI2 and ADX extensions like Intel Broadwell (5th generation) and later or AMD Ryzen.
CVE-2017-1000257 3 Debian, Haxx, Redhat 5 Debian Linux, Libcurl, Enterprise Linux and 2 more 2025-04-20 N/A
An IMAP FETCH response line indicates the size of the returned data, in number of bytes. When that response says the data is zero bytes, libcurl would pass on that (non-existing) data with a pointer and the size (zero) to the deliver-data function. libcurl's deliver-data function treats zero as a magic number and invokes strlen() on the data to figure out the length. The strlen() is called on a heap based buffer that might not be zero terminated so libcurl might read beyond the end of it into whatever memory lies after (or just crash) and then deliver that to the application as if it was actually downloaded.
CVE-2017-7186 2 Pcre, Redhat 3 Pcre, Pcre2, Jboss Core Services 2025-04-20 N/A
libpcre1 in PCRE 8.40 and libpcre2 in PCRE2 10.23 allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (segmentation violation for read access, and application crash) by triggering an invalid Unicode property lookup.
CVE-2017-3169 2 Apache, Redhat 5 Http Server, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Core Services and 2 more 2025-04-20 N/A
In Apache httpd 2.2.x before 2.2.33 and 2.4.x before 2.4.26, mod_ssl may dereference a NULL pointer when third-party modules call ap_hook_process_connection() during an HTTP request to an HTTPS port.
CVE-2018-16840 3 Canonical, Haxx, Redhat 3 Ubuntu Linux, Curl, Jboss Core Services 2025-04-17 9.8 Critical
A heap use-after-free flaw was found in curl versions from 7.59.0 through 7.61.1 in the code related to closing an easy handle. When closing and cleaning up an 'easy' handle in the `Curl_close()` function, the library code first frees a struct (without nulling the pointer) and might then subsequently erroneously write to a struct field within that already freed struct.
CVE-2015-3196 7 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more 15 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 12 more 2025-04-12 N/A
ssl/s3_clnt.c in OpenSSL 1.0.0 before 1.0.0t, 1.0.1 before 1.0.1p, and 1.0.2 before 1.0.2d, when used for a multi-threaded client, writes the PSK identity hint to an incorrect data structure, which allows remote servers to cause a denial of service (race condition and double free) via a crafted ServerKeyExchange message.
CVE-2014-8176 2 Openssl, Redhat 3 Openssl, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Core Services 2025-04-12 N/A
The dtls1_clear_queues function in ssl/d1_lib.c in OpenSSL before 0.9.8za, 1.0.0 before 1.0.0m, and 1.0.1 before 1.0.1h frees data structures without considering that application data can arrive between a ChangeCipherSpec message and a Finished message, which allows remote DTLS peers to cause a denial of service (memory corruption and application crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact via unexpected application data.
CVE-2016-1838 6 Apple, Canonical, Debian and 3 more 16 Iphone Os, Mac Os X, Tvos and 13 more 2025-04-12 N/A
The xmlPArserPrintFileContextInternal function in libxml2 before 2.9.4, as used in Apple iOS before 9.3.2, OS X before 10.11.5, tvOS before 9.2.1, and watchOS before 2.2.1, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (heap-based buffer over-read) via a crafted XML document.
CVE-2016-0799 3 Openssl, Pulsesecure, Redhat 6 Openssl, Client, Steel Belted Radius and 3 more 2025-04-12 N/A
The fmtstr function in crypto/bio/b_print.c in OpenSSL 1.0.1 before 1.0.1s and 1.0.2 before 1.0.2g improperly calculates string lengths, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (overflow and out-of-bounds read) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a long string, as demonstrated by a large amount of ASN.1 data, a different vulnerability than CVE-2016-2842.
CVE-2015-3185 4 Apache, Apple, Canonical and 1 more 8 Http Server, Mac Os X, Mac Os X Server and 5 more 2025-04-12 N/A
The ap_some_auth_required function in server/request.c in the Apache HTTP Server 2.4.x before 2.4.14 does not consider that a Require directive may be associated with an authorization setting rather than an authentication setting, which allows remote attackers to bypass intended access restrictions in opportunistic circumstances by leveraging the presence of a module that relies on the 2.2 API behavior.
CVE-2016-1840 6 Apple, Canonical, Debian and 3 more 16 Iphone Os, Mac Os X, Tvos and 13 more 2025-04-12 N/A
Heap-based buffer overflow in the xmlFAParsePosCharGroup function in libxml2 before 2.9.4, as used in Apple iOS before 9.3.2, OS X before 10.11.5, tvOS before 9.2.1, and watchOS before 2.2.1, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (memory corruption) via a crafted XML document.
