CVE-2021-31439 3 Debian, Netatalk, Synology 3 Debian Linux, Netatalk, Diskstation Manager 2025-01-14 8.8 High
This vulnerability allows network-adjacent attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Synology DiskStation Manager. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerablity. The specific flaw exists within the processing of DSI structures in Netatalk. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of the length of user-supplied data prior to copying it to a heap-based buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process. Was ZDI-CAN-12326.
CVE-2017-5753 14 Arm, Canonical, Debian and 11 more 396 Cortex-a12, Cortex-a12 Firmware, Cortex-a15 and 393 more 2025-01-14 5.6 Medium
Systems with microprocessors utilizing speculative execution and branch prediction may allow unauthorized disclosure of information to an attacker with local user access via a side-channel analysis.
CVE-2019-9517 12 Apache, Apple, Canonical and 9 more 28 Http Server, Traffic Server, Mac Os X and 25 more 2025-01-14 7.5 High
Some HTTP/2 implementations are vulnerable to unconstrained interal data buffering, potentially leading to a denial of service. The attacker opens the HTTP/2 window so the peer can send without constraint; however, they leave the TCP window closed so the peer cannot actually write (many of) the bytes on the wire. The attacker then sends a stream of requests for a large response object. Depending on how the servers queue the responses, this can consume excess memory, CPU, or both.
CVE-2018-1160 3 Debian, Netatalk, Synology 7 Debian Linux, Netatalk, Diskstation Manager and 4 more 2025-01-14 N/A
Netatalk before 3.1.12 is vulnerable to an out of bounds write in dsi_opensess.c. This is due to lack of bounds checking on attacker controlled data. A remote unauthenticated attacker can leverage this vulnerability to achieve arbitrary code execution.
CVE-2019-9515 12 Apache, Apple, Canonical and 9 more 36 Traffic Server, Mac Os X, Swiftnio and 33 more 2025-01-14 7.5 High
Some HTTP/2 implementations are vulnerable to a settings flood, potentially leading to a denial of service. The attacker sends a stream of SETTINGS frames to the peer. Since the RFC requires that the peer reply with one acknowledgement per SETTINGS frame, an empty SETTINGS frame is almost equivalent in behavior to a ping. Depending on how efficiently this data is queued, this can consume excess CPU, memory, or both.
CVE-2019-9516 12 Apache, Apple, Canonical and 9 more 24 Traffic Server, Mac Os X, Swiftnio and 21 more 2025-01-14 6.5 Medium
Some HTTP/2 implementations are vulnerable to a header leak, potentially leading to a denial of service. The attacker sends a stream of headers with a 0-length header name and 0-length header value, optionally Huffman encoded into 1-byte or greater headers. Some implementations allocate memory for these headers and keep the allocation alive until the session dies. This can consume excess memory.
CVE-2019-9513 12 Apache, Apple, Canonical and 9 more 25 Traffic Server, Mac Os X, Swiftnio and 22 more 2025-01-14 7.5 High
Some HTTP/2 implementations are vulnerable to resource loops, potentially leading to a denial of service. The attacker creates multiple request streams and continually shuffles the priority of the streams in a way that causes substantial churn to the priority tree. This can consume excess CPU.
CVE-2019-9514 13 Apache, Apple, Canonical and 10 more 44 Traffic Server, Mac Os X, Swiftnio and 41 more 2025-01-14 7.5 High
Some HTTP/2 implementations are vulnerable to a reset flood, potentially leading to a denial of service. The attacker opens a number of streams and sends an invalid request over each stream that should solicit a stream of RST_STREAM frames from the peer. Depending on how the peer queues the RST_STREAM frames, this can consume excess memory, CPU, or both.
CVE-2019-9511 12 Apache, Apple, Canonical and 9 more 29 Traffic Server, Mac Os X, Swiftnio and 26 more 2025-01-14 7.5 High
Some HTTP/2 implementations are vulnerable to window size manipulation and stream prioritization manipulation, potentially leading to a denial of service. The attacker requests a large amount of data from a specified resource over multiple streams. They manipulate window size and stream priority to force the server to queue the data in 1-byte chunks. Depending on how efficiently this data is queued, this can consume excess CPU, memory, or both.
CVE-2018-5996 2 7-zip, Debian 3 7-zip, P7zip, Debian Linux 2025-01-10 N/A
Insufficient exception handling in the method NCompress::NRar3::CDecoder::Code of 7-Zip before 18.00 and p7zip can lead to multiple memory corruptions within the PPMd code, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (segmentation fault) or execute arbitrary code via a crafted RAR archive.
CVE-2017-17969 2 7-zip, Debian 3 7-zip, P7zip, Debian Linux 2025-01-10 N/A
Heap-based buffer overflow in the NCompress::NShrink::CDecoder::CodeReal method in 7-Zip before 18.00 and p7zip allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds write) or potentially execute arbitrary code via a crafted ZIP archive.
CVE-2023-33460 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Redhat and 1 more 5 Debian Linux, Fedora, Enterprise Linux and 2 more 2025-01-08 6.5 Medium
There's a memory leak in yajl 2.1.0 with use of yajl_tree_parse function. which will cause out-of-memory in server and cause crash.
CVE-2017-18017 9 Arista, Canonical, Debian and 6 more 33 Eos, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 30 more 2025-01-03 9.8 Critical
The tcpmss_mangle_packet function in net/netfilter/xt_TCPMSS.c in the Linux kernel before 4.11, and 4.9.x before 4.9.36, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (use-after-free and memory corruption) or possibly have unspecified other impact by leveraging the presence of xt_TCPMSS in an iptables action.
CVE-2024-8508 3 Debian, Nlnetlabs, Redhat 5 Debian Linux, Unbound, Enterprise Linux and 2 more 2024-12-17 5.3 Medium
NLnet Labs Unbound up to and including version 1.21.0 contains a vulnerability when handling replies with very large RRsets that it needs to perform name compression for. Malicious upstreams responses with very large RRsets can cause Unbound to spend a considerable time applying name compression to downstream replies. This can lead to degraded performance and eventually denial of service in well orchestrated attacks. The vulnerability can be exploited by a malicious actor querying Unbound for the specially crafted contents of a malicious zone with very large RRsets. Before Unbound replies to the query it will try to apply name compression which was an unbounded operation that could lock the CPU until the whole packet was complete. Unbound version 1.21.1 introduces a hard limit on the number of name compression calculations it is willing to do per packet. Packets that need more compression will result in semi-compressed packets or truncated packets, even on TCP for huge messages, to avoid locking the CPU for long. This change should not affect normal DNS traffic.
CVE-2020-35357 2 Debian, Gnu 2 Debian Linux, Gnu Scientific Library 2024-12-07 6.5 Medium
A buffer overflow can occur when calculating the quantile value using the Statistics Library of GSL (GNU Scientific Library), versions 2.5 and 2.6. Processing a maliciously crafted input data for gsl_stats_quantile_from_sorted_data of the library may lead to unexpected application termination or arbitrary code execution.
CVE-2023-27561 3 Debian, Linuxfoundation, Redhat 5 Debian Linux, Runc, Enterprise Linux and 2 more 2024-12-06 7 High
runc through 1.1.4 has Incorrect Access Control leading to Escalation of Privileges, related to libcontainer/rootfs_linux.go. To exploit this, an attacker must be able to spawn two containers with custom volume-mount configurations, and be able to run custom images. NOTE: this issue exists because of a CVE-2019-19921 regression.
CVE-2023-36664 4 Artifex, Debian, Fedoraproject and 1 more 5 Ghostscript, Debian Linux, Fedora and 2 more 2024-12-05 7.8 High
Artifex Ghostscript through 10.01.2 mishandles permission validation for pipe devices (with the %pipe% prefix or the | pipe character prefix).
CVE-2017-12374 2 Clamav, Debian 2 Clamav, Debian Linux 2024-12-02 N/A
The ClamAV AntiVirus software versions 0.99.2 and prior contain a vulnerability that could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on an affected device. The vulnerability is due to a lack of input validation checking mechanisms during certain mail parsing operations (mbox.c operations on bounce messages). If successfully exploited, the ClamAV software could allow a variable pointing to the mail body which could cause a used after being free (use-after-free) instance which may lead to a disruption of services on an affected device to include a denial of service condition.
CVE-2017-12375 2 Clamav, Debian 2 Clamav, Debian Linux 2024-12-02 N/A
The ClamAV AntiVirus software versions 0.99.2 and prior contain a vulnerability that could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on an affected device. The vulnerability is due to a lack of input validation checking mechanisms during certain mail parsing functions (the rfc2047 function in mbox.c). An unauthenticated, remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted email to the affected device. This action could cause a buffer overflow condition when ClamAV scans the malicious email, allowing the attacker to potentially cause a DoS condition on an affected device.
CVE-2017-12376 2 Clamav, Debian 2 Clamav, Debian Linux 2024-12-02 N/A
ClamAV AntiVirus software versions 0.99.2 and prior contain a vulnerability that could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition or potentially execute arbitrary code on an affected device. The vulnerability is due to improper input validation checking mechanisms when handling Portable Document Format (.pdf) files sent to an affected device. An unauthenticated, remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted .pdf file to an affected device. This action could cause a handle_pdfname (in pdf.c) buffer overflow when ClamAV scans the malicious file, allowing the attacker to cause a DoS condition or potentially execute arbitrary code.
